Want to know more about transitioning out of production or making passive income as a referral-only agent?
What is Agent Legacy?
Agent Legacy is a mission-driven parent company that supports real estate professionals at pivotal career transitions through two divisions: Agent Legacy Transition and Agent Legacy Referral.
How does Agent Legacy help agents?
Agent Legacy facilitates a graceful exit for seasoned real estate professionals through our Agent Legacy Transition program by bringing together seasoned professionals with qualified successors.
For license holders who wish to generate passive income through real estate, we provide tools, coaching, and strategies to generate income through our Agent Legacy Referral program.
Who is Agent Legacy for?
Experienced agents planning retirement, career pivots, or life changes; as well as agents who want to maintain an active license and focus on passive income from referrals without traditional sales activities.
Agent Legacy Transition
What is the goal of Agent Legacy Transition?
To ensure a smooth, values-based transition by connecting departing agents with qualified successors and preserving relationships, brand equity, and reputation.
How does the successor matching process work?
We conduct a discovery of your market, client base, and standards, then match you with vetted agents who can uphold your service level; we guide timelines, communication, and handoff steps.
What do I need to prepare for a transition?
A client list or CRM export, key transaction history, service standards, brand assets, and any notes on high-priority relationships or active referrals to ensure continuity.
How long does a typical transition take?
Timelines vary by market size and book of business; we outline a phased plan after discovery and aim for an orderly, relationship-first handoff.
Agent Legacy Referral
What is Agent Legacy Referral?
A dedicated platform for referral-only agents, offering coaching, network optimization tools, strategic marketing resources, and income strategies centered on sphere-of-influence management.
How Does It Work?
How are referral fees handled?
Referral fees are received and processed by Agent Legacy and paid out to the agent via direct deposit.
Do I need to keep my real estate license active?
Yes. Maintaining an active license is required to participate in referral income compliantly. Agent Legacy is a Limited Function Referral Office (LFRO). Our agents are prohibited from performing traditional client services and sales activities.
Can I earn income without doing showings or MLS work?
Yes. Referral-only agents can generate income by referring clients to active agents. The receiving brokerage processes referral fees according to agreed compensation.
Do I pay MLS fees or Association dues as an Agent Legacy licenseholder?
No. Agents who are part of Agent Legacy avoid local/state/national dues and MLS fees because they are not engaging in traditional sales activity.
Do I have to take Continuing Education (CE or SAE)?
Agents must maintain license compliance per state requirements. This means you must complete the required education hours each license period, and you must maintain "Active" status with the real estate commission.
What activities can Agent Legacy agents perform?
Our agents focus on introductions and relationship management; they do not list or show properties, negotiate or draft contracts, and they don't perform MLS activities.
